At Horbury Dental Care we use a whitening brand called Optident White Dental Beauty. This is a highly effective way of whitening your teeth which is non-invasive and doesn’t damage your natural tooth surface.
We start the process by taking impressions of your upper and lower teeth and we send them to the laboratory for them to make moulds for your whitening trays. These normally take up to 7 working days to be made. You then come back to see your dentist who makes sure your trays fit and they show you how to apply the whitening gel to your trays. Your dentist will take before and after photos which they will show you at your review appointment.
We recommend you wear your trays for 6-8 hours a day for a period of 2 weeks. Some people find it better to wear their trays at night. Your dentist would like to see you for a review after this time to see how you’re getting on.
